This policy explains what personal data Platinum Plumbing collects through this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.

We do not ask for sensitive personal data, and the form does not collect payment details. Please do not include either in the message box.

3. How we use your data and why

4. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who process data on our behalf, such as our website hosting provider, our email and customer management or enquiry-handling tools, and our phone provider. They may act only on our instructions.
  • Subcontractors or suppliers involved in carrying out your job, where applicable.
  • Our accountants and professional advisers, where needed.
  • The Revenue Commissioners, An Garda Síochána or other authorities, where the law requires it.
  • A buyer or successor, if the business is sold, with the same protections applying.

5. Transfers outside the EEA

Some of our providers may store or access data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Where this happens, we make sure a lawful safeguard is in place, such as an EU adequacy decision (including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep your data

  • Enquiries that do not lead to a job: 12 months from your last contact, then deleted.
  • Customer and job records: 6 years after the job is completed, to meet tax and accounting obligations and to deal with any warranty or legal claim.
  • Website server logs: 30 days, unless needed to investigate a security issue.

We may keep data for longer if the law requires it or we need it to defend a legal claim.

7. Cookies

We use essential storage that this website needs to work. We use analytics or advertising cookies only if you accept them through our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer. Our Cookie Policy lists the cookies and similar technologies we use.

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 11. We will reply within one month. We may need to confirm your identity first, and there is normally no charge.

9. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission, Ireland's data protection authority, at dataprotection.ie.

10. Security, children and changes

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including an encrypted (HTTPS) connection for this website and restricted access to enquiry records. No online transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

This website is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
